I AM STILL A MAN: Black Men and Mental Health
The origins of "I Am a Man" grew out of economic disparity in the workplace, among other issues, during the Memphis Sanitation Strike of 1968. I Am Still A Man showcases unspoken, rarely discussed stressors for Black men and the direct impact on their mental health.

Amazon DEI
Event Goals: In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness in the US, the Worldwide Operations DEI (WWOps DEI) team will present a session with Dawn Callahan, Founder of Treat Your Trauma, and Tenisha Jackson, Head of WWOps DEI to discuss the unique experiences of domestic violence victims face, and the disproportionate impacts across gender and people of color. The goal is to acknowledge the support needed to help survivors live a safe and fulfilled life.
Additionally, the goal is to help the audience understand how past life experiences, culture, and environment can make a person more susceptible to landing in a domestic violence situation due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Understanding that escaping a domestic violence (DV) situation circles back to the mindset of the victim helps their potential support system have empathy to patiently support a victim’s needs, without shame or judgment. The reality is, everyone can relate to trauma and can engage in healthy behaviors to support healing.
